TORONTO, July 20, 2021 – Hamilton Capital Partners Inc. (“Hamilton ETFs“) is pleased to announce the launch of the Hamilton Enhanced Multi-Sector Covered Call ETF (“HDIV“). HDIV seeks to replicate, to the extent reasonably possible and before the deduction of fees and expenses, a 1.25 times multiple of the Solactive Multi-Sector Covered Call ETFs Index.

HDIV has closed the offering of its initial units. Units of the ETF will begin trading on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 on the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX“) under the ticker symbol “HDIV”.

We are excited to expand our ETF offerings with the launch of HDIV, an innovative ETF designed to help long-term investors meet their income needs with an initial target yield of 8.5% paid monthly. HDIV will invest in an equal-weight portfolio of seven sector covered call ETFs with a diversified sector mix broadly similar to that of the S&P/TSX 60 while adding modest 25% leverage to enhance the yield and return potential for investors,” said Rob Wessel, Managing Partner at Hamilton ETFs.

“We believe HDIV can be a core holding for long-term investors, as it offers diversification, attractive monthly distributions, and exposure to the Solactive Multi-Sector Covered Call ETFs Index, which has outperformed the S&P/TSX 60 since its inception in 2015,” said Pat Sommerville, Partner, Head of Business Development at Hamilton ETFs.
